Avinash Rugoobur
Co-founder, CEO
Avinash Rugoobur is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with a proven track record of success. As Arrival's President, Avinash was responsible for overall leadership, business and product strategy and international expansion. In his role, he oversaw Arrival’s public listing in March 2021, which was the UK’s biggest ever IPO with a $13 billion float on Nasdaq. He also led the close of over $300 million in investment from blue-chip investors including Hyundai, Kia, UPS and funds managed by BlackRock.
Avinash has international experience in leading and growing businesses across multiple segments and has successfully led both teams of thousands and fast moving startups. During his time at GM in Silicon Valley, USA, Avinash was responsible for the ~$1Bn acquisition of Cruise Autonomous and part of the team which saw its subsequent valuation increase to $14Bn. This work was pivotal in accelerating the delivery of Autonomous Vehicles as well as creating the OEM - Startup ecosystem.
Additionally, Avinash has led and formed innovation labs, undergone innovation programmes in Silicon Valley, including the running of a consortium with 500 Startups, and the development of new “billion dollar business” initiatives alongside BCG’s Digital Ventures team in Los Angeles.
Avinash’s work has been publicly featured around the world and he has founded successful startups in different segments, including Smoor (Chocolate Lounge - India) and Curve Tomorrow (Digital Health - Australia).

Vimal Seeboruth

Vimal Seeboruth has a degree in Management with specialisation in Accounting and Finance. He has gathered a wealth of experience in various roles and international assignments in a 20-year career in the petroleum industry in internal audit, accounting, stock management, retail management, marketing, commercial and corporate communications, CSR, service station management, B2G, B2B and B2C.
Vimal was a key contributor in paving the way to achieving performance awards in the retail business of Total Mauritius and Engen Mauritius with initiatives like 24/7 operations, diversified income opportunities, loyalty programmes, coaching the top performing retail site in the African network, directly managing 2 retail sites, a strong focus on health and safety management and compliance, customer service and branding, and putting in place and deploying retail procedures in Kenya.
Vimal led Arrival’s activities in Mauritius to enable bringing Arrival’s sustainable solutions to his country and the African region. He brings expertise in team leadership, internal and external communications, marketing and general management. He also led the shared service activities of Arrival in Mauritius and actively supported the Group with cost-cutting initiatives and operational efficiency improvements.
